HOOPER URGES ALL TO RUN FOR A CAUSE
New senior football assistant coach, Andrew Hooper, this week spoke of his decision to join Ballarat, and next Sunday’s major community mass participation event, Run for a Cause.
Andrew has set up a team under the name of Ballarat Football Netball Club and urges anyone involved in the club to join him. The link to join our team is as per below:

I urge anyone involved in our club to join me on Sunday November 18. Seniors, Ballarat Storm juniors, Ballarat Swan juniors, members, supporters and families. I’ll be doing the 5km run but there are other options to cater for everyone.
This years event, coordinated by The Ballarat Foundation, is designed to raise funds to combat food insecurity in our region. Incredibly, last year over 12% of Ballarats population needed emergency food relief, with over 2/3 of those being children. There are four events to choose from:
- The Steigen 10km run
- The Mercure Ballarat 5km run
- The North Cares 5km family walk
- Golden Nugget Bakery 1km kids dash
With senior pre-season starting on the 26th November he said Run for a Cause was a good chance for senior players to get a few kilometres in the legs whilst supporting a great local cause.
