The McDonald’s Ballarat FNL is pleased to announce that AFL champion and premiership player Anthony Koutoufides will coach the senior interleague team in 2020.
With a long and proud tradition of representative football, the Ballarat FNL have secured a game against long-time rival, the Bendigo FNL, who will travel to Ballarat to play on Saturday 2nd May 2020.
League chairman Adrian Bettio, who was instrumental in the appointment of Koutoufides, said
“To have a champion of the game in Anthony Koutoufides willing to commit to leading the BFNL in this campaign speaks highly of the calibre of our competition and we are thrilled to have Anthony on board for this year”
The appointment comes on the back of the previous announcement of Shaun Grigg to the role before he stepped away after securing an assistant coaching role with the Geelong FC.
Work will commence in the lead up to the start of the 2020 season to put together a squad of players who will represent the league in May.
Koutoufides brings a wealth of AFL experience to the Ballarat FNL with further announcements in the coming weeks of support staff and assistants.
